(évènement en anglais)
Date: Friday 23th of November
Time: 14:00 – 17:00 (visit) / 17:30 – 20:00 (dinner)
Place: Notkestraße 85, 22607 Hamburg; please report at the main gate
Did you know? Hamburg is not only famous for its ships, airliners and musicals but also the home of DESY…
DESY is one of the world’s leading accelerator centres. Researchers use the large-scale facilities at DESY to explore the microcosm in all its variety – from the interactions of tiny elementary particles and the behaviour of new types of nanomaterials to biomolecular processes that are essential to life. The accelerators and detectors that DESY develops and builds are unique research tools. The facilities generate the world’s most intense X-ray light, accelerate particles to record energies and open completely new windows onto the universe.
This is a great opportunity to get together with our alumni colleagues from northern Germany.
DESY graciously offers us the visit. Afterwards we will get together for a light dinner nearby. Dinner and drinks will be paid by the participants
The tour will normally be performed in English. It is possible to have it in German, should we announce it in advance
The alumni from ETH and MIT are invited as well to this event.
Please register until the 16th of November by using this link.
The number of visitors has been initially set to 15 participants. We are able to extend this number if we know it well in advance. If not able due to late registration, then first come first served. We will advise you.
Kindly consider the advice (in German; please contact me for details in English).
