We are pleased to invite you to the first Café Scientifique co-organised with ETH  Zurich Alumni Chapter Pacific Northwest. You will have the pleasure to meet Marcel Studer, an ETH Alumni who graduated in 2003 from the ETH’s Architecture School. He moved to Vancouver in 2004 to start Econ Construction, a design-build firm that specialises in Passive House design and construction. With over 10 years of experience in this domain, Marcel will speak to us about what the Passive House standard is, how it compares to sustainable initiatives in Switzerland, the future of the Passive House standard as well as some of the main differences between designing and building in Canada and Switzerland. Marcel is a member of the Canada Passive House Council and regulary lectures and teaches at BCIT.
