The assembly will be followed by a conference by one of our members, Jacques Ambühl (MA’81) who will tell us about his experience as a consultant at the World Bank in Asia in a conference entitled “At the service of the Bank World in Central Asia “. More information on the content of the conference at the end of the email.
As a reminder, here is the agenda:

2. Report on the activities of the previous year
3. Approval of the association’s accounting
4. Discharge of the committee
5. Election of the committee and auditors
6. Calendar for upcoming year
Conference by Jacques Ambühl:
Title: At the service of the World Bank in Central Asia.
Estimated duration: 45 min + 15 min questions
Synopsis: Having been hired by the World Bank as an expert in meteorological and environmental alarm systems after my retirement, I present some experiences collected in this context during my engagements in Central Asia during the years 2016-19. The implementation of complex IT technologies in a social and economic framework endowed with value systems and administrative structures orthogonal to those prevailing in Europe presents an unexpected challenge. Confronted with these uncertainties, the implementation of solutions requires creativity, flexibility and tenacity. It is a source of lessons, sometimes funny, often poignant, in terms of project management.
