The EPFL Wish Foundation is pleased to invite you to the Erna Hamburger Award 2021. The laureate will give a lecture, followed by a roundtable and a cocktail.

The ceremony will take place on Monday, 18 October at 17:00 in the Forum Rolex on EPFL campus.

Dame Sarah Gilbert is the Said Professor of Vaccinology in the Nuffield Department of Medicine at the University of Oxford.
Her chief research interest is the development of viral-vectored vaccines that work by inducing strong and protective T and B cell responses. She works on vaccines for many different emerging pathogens, including influenza, Nipah, MERS, Lassa, Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever, and in 2020, initiated the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine project.

Since 2006, the Erna Hamburger Prize distinguishes influential, leading women scientists who are transforming their field and executing change.
